HOW I WORK
What to Expect
When Working With Me
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I provide online therapy to adults across Ontario in both English and Russian.
Where we start
We begin with what’s most present for you. I ask questions and share my observations so that together we can understand where the stress is coming from, what certain patterns are protecting, and why some things keep repeating despite your efforts.
Practical tools
I offer practical tools when they’re helpful, but my approach goes beyond worksheets and symptom management. I won’t dismiss what you’re feeling. We look at what your symptoms have been doing for you.
The parts that protect you
The parts of you that push through, shut down, stay in control, or work hard to please others aren’t problems to fix. We explore what they’re protecting and what they’re afraid would happen if they stopped.
Working together
Some things are hard to see on your own, simply because you’re inside them. In a session, you have someone paying close attention with you, listening, asking questions, and reflecting back what I notice.
The Approaches I Draw On
Our work together depends on what you bring. Some weeks that means practical skills you can use straight away. Other weeks it means going slower, into the patterns underneath and into what the body is holding.
Practical Tools
Concrete skills for managing anxious thoughts, intense emotions, and the demands of daily life. These are the things you can use between sessions, when the week gets difficult and you need something to hold onto.
Depth & Parts Work
A closer look at the patterns underneath, and at the stories that shape how you see yourself. Often the parts of us that cause the most trouble were once doing something useful, and understanding that changes how we work with them.
Body & Breath
Attention to the body and nervous system, so the work isn't happening only in your thinking. Much of what we carry lives below words, in how we brace, hold, and breathe.
Support for the Challenges You're Facing
Anxiety, Overwhelm & Burnout
For people whose minds don't stop, who hold a lot together on the outside, and who are more tired underneath than anyone realizes. To others, it can look like coping. Inside, it feels like running out of room
Relationship Patterns & Boundaries
For people who lose themselves in relationships. Saying yes when you mean no, giving more than you have, and putting the connection ahead of yourself. It usually started as a way to keep things steady, and it has quietly started to cost you.
Trauma, Nervous System & Life Transitions
For people carrying pain that never got resolved. Chronic stress, shutting down, staying alert for danger, or responses that made sense once and still run now. The body often keeps the pattern going long after the situation has changed.
Self-Worth & Inner Criticism
For people who never feel like enough, no matter what they do, and whose worth has become tied to achievement, productivity, or other people's approval. The voice that pushes you is often the same one that never lets you rest.
Focus, Impulses & Emotional Regulation
For people who feel flooded by emotion, act faster than they mean to, or can't slow their thinking down even when the day is over. It can look like a discipline problem from the outside, and feel like something else entirely from the inside.
Parents of Neurodivergent Children
For parents carrying the weight of caregiving, along with the guilt, the advocacy, and the isolation that rarely gets talked about. There is rarely space to ask how the parent is doing, and that is the space this is for.
Motherhood, Postpartum & Identity Changes
For mothers holding the mental load and the shift in who they are, including the parts of early motherhood that are hard to say out loud. Loving your child and grieving your old life can happen at the same time.
Identity Transitions & Cultural Adjustment
For people navigating immigration, cultural adaptation, or a major life change, and the feeling of losing touch with yourself while trying to build something stable. Belonging in two places can mean feeling fully at home in neither.
Integration & Transformative Experiences
Some experiences change how you see yourself or your life. A spiritual opening. A profound shift in perspective. A state of consciousness far from everyday awareness that stays with you after it ends.
ONLINE THERAPY FOR ADULTS ACROSS ONTARIO
A space to be understood, not judged
How long have you been managing everything on your own?
Others rely on you. You keep things running at work and at home, and from the outside it looks like you are fine. Inside, it feels heavy, and there is nowhere to put it down.
You do not need to prove anything here.
This is a space where you are not expected to have everything under control. You do not need to perform or find the right words. You also do not need to tell me everything. Some things can stay private, and we can still work with them without you having to explain. What matters is that you feel safe enough to notice what is going on inside, at your own pace.
What this work is about
Coping and managing are strengths. They kept you safe and connected. But they can also take you far from what you actually need.
This work is about reconnecting with what you need, what matters to you, and the parts of yourself you set aside along the way. Over time, the pressure can ease, decisions can get clearer, and you no longer have to carry everything alone.
